We work with Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan portfolio companies to create ventures that shape tomorrow.
Our team of builders bring together diverse backgrounds in tech, startup and corporate innovation to take big ideas and turn them into new, high-impact businesses and capabilities.
We invest in leaders who are building transformative solutions that create breakout value for Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan portfolio companies.
Koru exists to drive value creation to OTPP’s portfolio companies by partnering with them to identify, validate, build and oversee new disruptive business opportunities that leverage unfair advantages.
Ventures that come out of Koru are attractive to invest in - we get Koru-built ventures in front of the right people so they have the financial backing needed for their next stage of growth (e.g. VCs, start-up ecosystem).
Our team of tech builders bring diverse experience across industries, problem spaces, and markets, transforming big ideas into high-potential businesses that solve real-world problems.
Koru’s offices are located in downtown Toronto. We humbly acknowledge that Koru HQ is located on land that is the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the New Credit, Chippewa (Anishnaabeg), Haudenosaunee, and Wendat. This territory is covered by the ‘Toronto Purchase: Treaty 13’ which was the surrender of the lands from the Mississaugas of the Credit to the British Crown initially in 1787. Koru staff and/or board members are made up of settlers, immigrants, descendants of immigrants, refugees, descendants of refugees or a combination thereof. Our roots lie in continents across the world and we are grateful for the opportunity to share this land where we work and live.
